Skif Urbanite II is a modernized version of a popular model from Skif’s 400 series, reimagined with a focus on urban everyday carry.
As the name suggests, this knife is well-suited for city use — but its design also makes it a reliable tool for outdoor activities and weekend adventures.
The blade is made of upgraded 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, enriched with carbon and chromium for stronger blade performance and enhanced corrosion resistance compared to the previous version.
It features a classic Drop Point profile with flat grinds that begin nearly at the spine. A row of thumb jimpings on the spine offers a secure thumb rest, enhancing control during forceful cuts. This blade geometry delivers excellent slicing and stabbing capabilities. Depending on the model, the blade comes with either a Stonewash or Black Stonewash finish to help conceal wear and scratches.
The knife opens via a thumb stud or flipper tab, which also serves as a finger guard during heavy use. A ball bearing pivot system ensures smooth, easy deployment.
Lockup is handled by a robust Frame Lock — one of the most durable locking mechanisms used in folding knives.
One of the key upgrades in this generation is the addition of jimping not only on the spine and handle, but also on the flipper tab and lockbar, further improving grip and in-hand control.
The handle scale is made of textured G10, offering a secure grip even in wet conditions or while wearing gloves. The deep-carry pocket clip can be removed if desired, allowing the use of the built-in lanyard hole as an alternative carry option.
Skif Urbanite II is a modern take on a proven classic, combining reliability, function, and style in one versatile EDC knife.
